    • Tara Britt

      Tara Britt

      A director and choreographer from Victoria, BC, Tara trained at Sheridan College in Oakville, ON, in the Musical Theatre Performance Program. Her professional career has taken her from Canada and the US to Europe, the Mediterranean, and Africa. Directing and choreographic credits include: Assistant to the Director The Will Rogers Follies, Director / Choreographer Gypsy, Brigadoon, and Annie (The Victoria Operatic Society), Director Choreographer Annie (Black Box Productions), Director / Choreographer Murder on the Oriental Rug (Killer Dinner Theatre), Director / Choreographer [title of show] (Urban Arts), Assistant Choreographer for Broadway: Decades in Review (The Victoria Operatic Society), and Choreographer The Addams Family (Kaleidoscope Theatre). Tara’s passion lies in teaching young artists the profession of musical theatre while providing a fun and safe learning environment.

    • Phil Hallman

      Phil Hallman

      Phil is an accomplished Musical Director, Rehearsal Pianist, and Musician. His training includes over 28 years of piano, 21 years of saxophone, and 16 years in musical theatre, as well as an apprenticeship with Orpheus Musical Theatre Society in Ottawa. He has been involved in numerous musical theatre productions, including various high school, community, children’s and professional presentations for over 16 years. Phil is very excited to be spending another summer as Music Director with VYMTC.

    • Jan Heinrichs

      Jan Heinrichs

      JAN HEINRICHS has directed concerts, musical theatre productions and special events for over thirty years.  Her work includes teaching music and musical theatre classes in four BC school districts, for the Victoria Conservatory of Music and the Victoria Youth Musical Theatre Company.  She has been a summer session music instructor at the University of Victoria and has directed and produced events for the City of Vancouver, City of Richmond and the Town of Sidney.  Jan received both her Bachelor of Music and Masters in Music Education degrees from the University of British Columbia.  She has served on the board of the Coalition for Music Education in BC and was a founding board member of the Richmond Gateway Theatre.   Jan is delighted to, once again, be teaching at VYMTC.
